How to Share a Screenshot in an Email (Without Giant Attachments)

Attaching a screenshot to an email works, but it has downsides: it inflates the message size, can be stripped by strict mail filters, and forces the recipient to download a file just to glance at it. Sharing a link is cleaner.

The link approach

  1. Open sshot.online and paste or drop your screenshot.
  2. Copy the share link.
  3. Paste it into your email where you would have attached the file.

The recipient clicks once and the screenshot opens in their browser — no download, no compatibility issues, nothing stuck in a spam filter for being "too large".

When a link is the better choice

  • Newsletters & mass emails — attachments bloat every copy; a link does not.
  • Mobile recipients — a link opens instantly instead of downloading a big file over mobile data.
  • Multiple images — send a few tidy links instead of a heavy multi-attachment email.

Need to include a long web address in the same email too? The built-in URL shortener keeps that tidy as well. Everything is free and needs no account.
