How to Create a QR Code

A QR code packs a link, a message, or a set of details into a square barcode that a phone camera can read instantly. Here's how to make one for whatever you need.

Steps to create a QR code

  1. Open the QR code generator.
  2. Pick the type: URL, WiFi, WhatsApp, phone, SMS, email, contact, or payment.
  3. Fill in the fields for that type.
  4. Click Generate QR Code, then download it as a PNG or SVG.

Choosing the right type

A URL QR code is the most common choice, useful on flyers, packaging, or business cards to send people to a website. A WiFi QR code lets guests join your network without typing a password. A contact QR code saves your details straight into someone's phone. Pick whichever matches what you actually want the scan to do.

Where QR codes work well

A note on payments

A QR code can't move money by itself, it can only point a payment app at the details it needs. The generator supports standard UPI payment links, and lets you paste in an official payment link from other providers to turn it into a scannable code.

Keep it private

Everything, including WiFi passwords and contact details, is generated in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to a server.
