How to Share a Screenshot With a Link

Attaching a screenshot to an email or dropping it into a chat window works, but it's not always the fastest option. A link is smaller to send, easier to paste into a ticket or document, and opens instantly on any device.
Why use a link instead of a file
A shared link doesn't need to be downloaded before someone can see it. It also avoids the file size limits some chat tools and email providers enforce, and it keeps your conversation thread free of large attachments.
Turning a screenshot into a link
- Take your screenshot using any method, keyboard shortcut, snipping tool, or phone.
- Open sshot.online and paste the image with Ctrl/Cmd+V, or drag the file onto the page.
- Your screenshot uploads in about a second and you get two links back: a share page for people, and a direct image link for embedding.
- Copy the link that fits what you need and send it.
Share link or direct image link?
The share page is best for chat, email, or a support ticket, since it shows the image with a small preview around it. The direct image link points straight at the file, so it's the one to use in Markdown, HTML, or a forum post that renders images inline.
